You see, I made a decision three years ago. I needed to find a business or learn a skill that is financially valued...and...doesn't require a license. Everything that I did to earn a living up to that point required my Real Estate License or Life Insurance license.

Both of these licenses are great, as well as, have great earning potential. But, bureaucracy and the collapse of the real estate market have affected all financial service businesses. I got a gigantic sales letter disguised as a magazine in the mail that was (hold on a moment, let me go grab it.) I'm back. That letter is 38 pages long and I read it from stem to stern. I remember I got it in January 2007.

I placed my order immediately. That was the day my life changed! Because... I was originally going to apply the skill that I learned from what I ordered to help boost my own business...since that's what I knew best... then implement add-on services to cross-sell my clients.

What was that you said, "So what?" "Somebody mailed you a "gigantic" piece of junk mail", "How does that help me kick my profits up a notch?" Well, I'm glad you asked.

I got that letter when I was in "heat" for a business opportunity that gives me more money, more free time and more control over my financial future. There's an important marketing lesson in me getting that letter while I was in "heat" for a business opportunity.

Actually, it's the most important lesson for any business from mom and pop shops to mega-corporations. And that lesson is...

You have to go fishing where the fish are biting!

Once you understand this first rule of marketing...and, I mean once you really "get it" your marketing mind will literally open up and be filled with ideas you never thought possible. I know it did for me. And, it did for many other successful marketers.

    Let me break this down into dollars for you, so that you'll have the proper perspective of what she did for this company... Here's an example:

    Let's assume this company mailed the previous letter to 1 Million people a month (by the way, this is common for many of "Jersey Girl's" clients.) We'll also assume this company is getting a 1% response rate (this means 1% of the people mailed to actually bought something directly from a letter. Hint: Direct Response Marketing.)

    Since I have a copy of this letter and have insider info about this market my guess is that the average sale was $89.95 plus $6.95 shipping and handling. A total cost of $96.90 per person.

    Let's recap:

    One million letters getting a 1% response = 10,000 buyers. The average order was $96.90 including shipping and handling.

    10,000 buyers * $96.90 = $969,000 in total sales.

    Let's assume the cost to produce and mail 1 million sales letters cost $0.75 a piece. That'll be $750,000

    Here are the results:

    $969,000 - $750,000 = $219,000 in monthly profit.

    Not bad, huh.

    Let's throw "Jersey Girl's" letter into the mix (this is where things get exciting):

    Her letter beat the old letter by 38%! Which means the company gets 3,800 new customers a month.

    Now, you have 13,800 people paying an average of $96.90 a month. That increases total monthly sales to $1,337,220 (13,800 * $96.90).

    Here's the difference of monthly profit:

    An increase in monthly profit of $368,220!
    All because she knows how to go fishing where the fish are biting.

  • Last, but not least, "Jersey Girl" is an excellent teacher. She's patient, pro-active and very knowledgeable.
